Co-creation and information sharing at the Merihaka Summer Festival

mySMARTLife partners Helen, Salusfin, VTT and the City of Helsinki had a joint stand at the Merihaka Summer Festival on the 26 of May 2018. The aim was to share information, motivate the residents to energy efficiency measures and co-create ideas to save energy. The project staff had fruitful discussions with residents and members of the area housing association. Passers-by had the possibility to charge their mobile devices with solar energy at the stand. They could also take part in a short questionnaire lottery and win a solar energy book written by energy expert Janne Käpylehto.

The University of Helsinki  was also contributing to the joint stand representing the Horizon 2020 funded project “Energise” (http://www.energise-project.eu/) in which they are implementing the use of energy related Living Labs in the Merihaka area by autumn 2018.
