The district heating network of Ile de Nantes will be monitored through a comprehensive decision making tool that will provide information to assess its impacts (cost, energy, CO₂ emissions). The data collected from a selection of district heating substations will be complemented through the information provided by district heating modelling. This tool will test different scenarios that reflect actions on the district heating network, coupled with actions on the buildings connected. This work has been developed by academic partner IMTA. Optimisation and decision making will complete the urban platform and can lead to energy savings of around 2,000 to 3,000 MWh.
