Helsinki RobobusLine – all aboard the robot bus!
12 June 2019, 9am-3pm, Helsinki, Finland.
mySMARTLife Lighthouse City Helsinki invites everyone interested in autonomous vehicles to enjoy a ride into the future on Helsinki Day.
Helsinki RobobusLine is a robot bus experiment in the Kalasatama district. On Helsinki Day, the robot bus with route number 26R will be operated three times an hour. The bus can carry eight passengers at a time and departs from the Englantilaisaukio square for a five minutes ride. There are four stops along the way. A guide will accompany each journey to tell more about the robot bus and make sure everything is working.
Helsinki RobobusLine is coordinated by the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and funded by the Helsinki Innovation Fund and mySMARTLife. It will operate in the Kalasatama district on weekdays until November 2019, weather permitting. The rides are open to all and free of charge.
