European Smart Projects Summit San Sebastián

San Sebastián, Lighthouse City of our sister project REPLICATE, is organising a summit where cities and experts across Europe will share experiences about the future of smart cities. mySMARTLife will also participate in the event!
During the first semester of 2019, Fomento San Sebastián is chairing the coordination of the 14 smart cities and communities (SCC1) lighthouse projects co-funded within the H2020 programme of the European Commission since 2015. These SCC1 projects (including mySMARTLife) represent 40 lighthouse cities and 53 fellow cities focusing on the transformation of the ecosystems into more smart and sustainable places.
The two-day event will consist of plenary sessions in the morning of 26th March, with the participation of public authorities from San Sebastián, the European Commission and high-level speakers, sharing their knowledge and vision about smart cities. In the afternoon, six sessions will be held on specific topics of interest about smart cities and their future showcasing key aspects and trends. The sessions will cover topics such as funding the scalability of smart solutions or sustainable and smart buildings in districts.
During a study visit to Urumea Riverside District, Smart District in San Sebastián, on 27th March in the morning, main actions will be shown and presented, sharing the impact and lessons learnt.
The event will also be an opportunity to celebrate the first face to face meeting of the year between the Coordinators as well as the different Task Groups of the 14 lighthouse projects in order to continue working on common actions.
